Starting in the end of May, the Matthews ReStore will begin having items available from a deconstruction project, including deconstructed brick at .20/each, salvaged 2x4s at .15/ft and 2x6s at .30/ft, as well the Matthews ReStore will have additional items available through it's 148 Fremont Series. 

The 148 Fremont Series is a handcrafted collection of decorative items created with building materiel reclaimed by Habitat for Humanity Matthews Volunteers at 148 Fremont St. in Matthew, NC.

Rescuing materials destined for the landfill and giving them new life in the form of beautiful, unique accessories for your home and garden, the 148 Fremont Series is a bit of local history made with love and careful craftsmanship through the collaborative efforts of Habitat staff and volunteers.

You will recognize these basic principles with each successive series:

• We use only recycled or salvaged materials.
• All proceeds go directly to our mission of improving lives by building communities and facilitating successful home-ownership with people in need of decent, affordable housing.
• We feel that all things come full circle.  In giving these materials new life we will enable partner families to embark on a new life in their own home.
• Mother Teresa once said “Do small things with great love.”  At Habitat for Humanity Matthews, we believe the 148 Fremont product line is doing just that.
• We hope to expand upon this series as we complete future deconstruction projects, so stay tuned and check out our local ReStore for new products!
